Hello, and Welcome!

My journey has only just begun. I began painting in September 2016 after being inspired by Australian artist Lyn Olsen. After seeing one of Lyn’s online workshops of The Barrier Reef I purchased an easel, paints, brushes, and a canvas and started to paint. From that moment on I have never looked back. I try to paint almost every day. Not only is painting a passion, you could say it has become an obsession.

Inspiration...
I mainly work with acrylic paints and really enjoy the beautiful bright bold colours. I love to paint underwater scenes with colourful coral and fish. I also paint whales, dolphins and other sea life. Sea Turtles are a favourite of mine. These beautiful creatures have a special place in my heart.
Painting provides me with an almost meditative state. It's very personal.
As well as the beautiful Great Barrier Reef, I also find inspiration in the Australian Bush. I enjoy painting native flora, such as Flowering Gums, and also Australian birds. Living close to the Queensland coast provides a multitude of amazing subjects to explore.
Discovery
This journey of discovery has given me self belief, courage and determination. I see the World very differently now. I look deeper at the wonderful things around me drawing inspiration from nature and the environment. The colour and beauty is amazing.

I hope people get as much enjoyment from viewing my art as I do creating it.

Most weekends you can find me at local country markets within the Sunshine Coast region. I love to show my work to visitors to the markets, and cherish the opportunity to meet people and make new friends.
